Cake Sizes and Servings

I’m always wondering how many pieces of cake certain cakes serve. I have my favorite sizes, like the 7 and 9 inch round, but sometimes I think about doing a rectangle cake (1/2 sheet cake) for larger servings.  I thought I would put out a list of pan sizes and how many people they serve. These numbers are on a range because some people make really tall cakes that feed more people and it also depends on the person cutting the cake. You can’t just hack up a cake like slicing a piece of pie, you need to be strategic when cutting a cake.

I hope this helps whoever is searching for this info…
